Singer/Songwriter

Meghan Joy O’Keefe (“MOJO”) is a singer/songwriter, performance artist, and poet serving as Executive Director of Amador County Arts Council, a “field office” partner to the California Arts Council, a state agency. O’Keefe works collaboratively with musicians, interdisciplinary teams, and non-artists to create original songs, theatre, and poetry.

 

• State Local Partner grantee (2018-present) with Amador County Arts Council

• State Local Partnership Mentor to San Joaquin County and The Stockton Art League (2023-present)

• Leadership team of the Coalition of CA County Arts Agencies (2024-present)

• Cali Catalyst grantee, Center for Cultural Innovation (2022)

• Arts Now Facilitator (2017-present)​

• Of/By/For All Change Network​ graduate

• Trained by Center for Cultural Innovation to administrate their Business of Arts curriculum​

• Teaching Artist: standard-based Dance, Media, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts (1999-present)​

• Singer/Songwriter—Love Lifters, Irregular Hearts, MOJO SOLO

• Actor—Baker Street Players

• Poet—California Poetry Out Loud teacher since 2016

 

​Graduate of Oberlin College (BA in Biology) and Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.
